The firm’s recently completed Passeig de Gràcia residence exemplifies their design enthusiasm while simultaneously exhibiting a restrained and grounded execution. The client, a young professional who travels frequently for work, wanted an updated landing pad that was comfortable, uncluttered, and airy. The design was initially guided by the fireplace—from there a subtle injection of matching color was added to the ceiling. Focusing on only the essentials, high-quality objects were sourced locally and serve as both basic necessities and stylistic abstractions. Visually quiet, subtly textured and soft, the furniture allows the grand architecture of the original apartment to effortlessly emit.
The approach of Jeanne Schultz Design Studio is to utilize architecturally historical elements like in the Passeig de Gràcia residence in order to elevate the present and future into beautiful and utilitarian modern design.
